About Gorehallow
I had been lucky for years to know an unnatural amount of incredibly talented people. Some were brilliant musicians who were explorers in the further reaches of sound. Angels to some
Demons to others. Some were masterful storytellers, and creative minds. These are shapers of our reality after all reality is just what we tell each other it is. Still others were masters of pen, pencil, and paint. Able to capture the life (and souls?) they see around them. They can show us that behind every exquisite thing that existed, there was something tragic.
My talents were many, a jack of all trades, but master of none.... people often forget the last part that I really enjoy "...Still far better than a master of one."
Being all from a small town there are a lot of things in natural beauty that can inspire you. I've always found more beauty in the things that people have made. There is a feeling in Toronto, and maybe all large cities, that you can do anything if you can just make the right pieces land in place. It's electric. So it was standing outside the lobby of a hotel one night while on a trip that the inspiration hit me. I had known a long time that we had all the pieces, why weren't we tossing them together?
I, along with most of the others, were fascinated with horror media from a young age. Maybe too young? We had to make movies!
This is when I decided that I needed to learn filmmaking, gather that talent around me, and make something fucking awful (and hopefully scary).
Gorehallow was born. The Saints of Gore.
